The Ministry of Culture with its Multi-theme festivals encourage collective creation and are the trigger for celebration, while contributing, at the same time, to both the strengthening and nurturing of culture and the strengthening of social identity.
Multi-theme festivals combine various art forms, expressing cultural diversity with innovative combinations. They provide the opportunity to create a collective experience between people who would otherwise not have met or would not have believed that they had anything in common.
Aims
- This call aims to support the work of cultural institutions across the territory with the aim of creating/developing multi-thematic festivals (festivals that include more than one thematic activity, e.g. art and dance, theater and music, etc.) as well as, through them, the strengthening of cultural decentralization.
Funding Information
- Within the framework of this call, there are four categories of funding:
- €10,000
- €15,000
- €20,000
- €30,000
Ineligible Funding
- This invitation does not concern:
- Grant proposals to cover operating costs, equipment and building infrastructure.
- Proposals that do not relate to the subject of modern culture (e.g. folk art and tradition, folklore, historical and ethnological museums).
- proposals that were not funded under previous calls
- Proposals that themselves or their drafts have already been presented to the public by the carrier
- Proposals for strengthening production or distribution and promotion in Greece and abroad of film projects, activities financed through the Greek Cinema, Audiovisual Center Media and Creation (EKKOMED).
- Proposals for the enhancement of theatrical production and performances classical and contemporary dance and tours, which fall under other invitations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Legal Entities of Private or Public Law of a non-profit nature, with cultural and/or charitable purposes that have been established until 30/11/2024.
Evaluation Criteria
- The relevance and coherence of individual actions in the overall targeting and presentation.
- Strengthening local cultural identity and cultural diversity in local/regional level.
- The strengthening of cultural tourism.
- The implementation of festivals/actions in areas outside urban centers, in the periphery, in border and inaccessible areas as well as in island complexes.
- Targeting the development of new audiences as well as socially excluded and vulnerable groups – victims of discrimination, for their participation in culture with appropriate modern thematic targeting and method.
- Enhancing reflection, dialogue and active public participation.
- This call is not addressed to supervised and regularly funded individuals.
