Apply for the Girls’ Talks (formerly known as the Local Dialogue Academy), a platform for young women to overcome barriers in communication, deconstruct stereotypes and sets a baseline for constructive exchanges through peer-to-peer learning, coaching and mentoring activities.
It aims at building relationships between young women belonging to different communities and coming from different areas and backgrounds, focusing on common issues of concern, in particular related to gender equality and women empowerment.
Structure and Topics
- The OSCE Girls’ Talks envisages five days of team-building exercises, as well as peer-to-peer coaching and interactive training, covering topics such as gender equality, women empowerment and women’s participation in public and policymaking processes, advocacy and civic engagement. The programme also includes coaching sessions on practical skills in the mentioned areas.
- During the programme, participants will be encouraged to identify small-scale initiatives to be implemented in their own communities. The trainers will guide the participants in formulating the initiatives and will also support them in their practical implementation after the completion of the programme.
Arrangements
- All expenses related to participation in the OSCE Girls’ Talks for Young Women will be covered by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, including transport, meals and refreshments, accommodation, and course module costs.
Qualifications
- The call is open to young Kosovo women between 16 and 19 years old interested in participating in policy and decision-making processes, discussing gender related aspects, promoting youth voluntarism, community work, and advocacy for positive social change.
- English language skills are not strictly mandatory. The OSCE Mission in Kosovo will provide translation in Albanian, Serbian and English languages.
