The World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition is pleased to announce the Bladder Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) Grants to empower patient organisations, support groups, and advocacy networks in low- and middle-income countries to raise bladder cancer awareness in their communities and beyond.
Bladder cancer affects over 614,000 individuals globally every year. For many, their diagnosis is the first time they have heard of this disease. Bladder cancer is often overlooked, but together, they can ensure it receives the attention it deserves.
Funding Information
- 5 BCAM Grants worth up to €800 each (financial and/or in-kind support based on applicant budgets).
Eligible Activities
- The applicants are also required to include and complete at least two of the following activity categories:
- Develop awareness raising material unique to your community (videos, posters, flyers, etc.)
- Host bladder cancer awareness raising information sessions (online or inperson meetings)
- Organise a fundraising event for further bladder cancer awareness or support activities
- Share bladder cancer patient or carer/guardian stories, in-person or online, as relevant
- Write a short article about the bladder cancer situation in your country (e.g., including data, personal stories, and interviews) and share that with WBCPC and through appropriate local channels.
Eligibility Criteria
- These grants empower patient organisations, support groups, and advocacy networks in low-and middle-income countries to raise awareness of bladder cancer within their communities.
- The programme requires applicants to include:
- BCAM 2025 Campaign theme and resources, including social media engagement and participation in the “Spot the Drop” digital game.
- Locally relevant awareness activities, such as developing bespoke materials, hosting information sessions, organising fundraising events, sharing patient stories, or writing articles.
