Deadline: 30 July 2024
The Bishop Stamer Fund is awarding small grants to individuals who may need extra help or support.
Any applicant must be at least 50 years old in order to be considered, but there is a preference towards people who are both elderly and infirm. The fund is available to people resident in North Staffordshire.
The Bishop Stamer fund meets the UN’s Tenth SDG, Reduced Inequalities, through it’s commitment to supporting individuals with equipment costs in North Staffordshire.
Funding Information
- You can apply for a grant of up to £500.
- Funding can be used to help people or their carers with a specific cost, and is usually award to pay for an item of equipment that may make their life easier, or to provide specific facilities. These facilities should not normally be available through another source, or there should be a waiting list where a delay would cause hardship.
- These grants are to be considered a one off grant and should be for items of equipment and not to pay for general nursing provision or care. Grants may also be made to organisations who will make small value purchases, to help individuals.
Who they Will Support?
- They will support people who meet the following criteria;
- Older people (those aged 65+)
- Disabled people
- Resident in Stoke on Trent, Newcastle under Lyme or the Staffordshire Moorlands
What you can apply for?
- Small pieces of equipment that may make your life easier, such as grab rails, wheelchair ramps, or easy grip taps.
- This equipment should not be available from statutory sources.
