The Creative Industries Fund is currently requesting applications for its Artistic and Design Research for Immersive Experiences Grant Scheme.
This grant scheme is aimed at newly-formed consortiums of makers, producers, institutions and researchers. They can apply for a grant for a two-year programme with a central focus on the quality of artistic and design research into immersive experiences.
Funding Information
- In the first application round, a total budget of € 250,000 is available. In this round, € 50,000 subsidy can be applied for to carry out the planning of a two-year programme. Co-financing is not required here.
- Only consortia that receive support in round 1A can apply for a maximum of € 1,300,000 subsidy in round 1B to implement the related two-year programme. This is subject to a co-financing requirement of at least € 400,000. A total budget of € 6,500,000 is available in round 1B.
Eligibility Criteria
- The following three core groups must be represented in the consortium:
- Individual or collective makers and designers of IX projects, and IX producers in the cultural and media fields. Both the role of a maker and a producer must be represented in the consortium.
- Organisations in the cultural and media fields that:
- Facilitate the development and/or presentation of IX productions.
- Reach the public and/or participants to experience IX productions.
- Facilitate substantive debate and context around IX.
- Contribute to artistic and design research (as a client or from a research function embedded in the organisation).
- Researchers working at a college or university who contribute to and apply theoretical and practical knowledge, methodologies and tools in an integral, practice-oriented and possibly also fundamental way within artistic and design research.
- One or more parties may act as international partners of the consortium.
