Art South Asia Project is awarding grants to institutions working in the field of modern & contemporary South Asian fine and applied arts.
Each grant will also include resources and peer-to-peer support to the programs or projects from ASAP. The peer-to-peer support and resources will be assigned from a neighbouring country and/or the global South Asian diaspora.
- Definition of Fine Arts: Institutions must be working in the field of visual arts, which includes painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography, moving image, performance and installation art.
- Definition of Applied Arts: Institutions must be working in the field of craft, design and textiles. Please note that this does not include architecture.
Budget
- The total budget for the program or project could be more than £10,000, however the maximum ASAP can currently provide is £10,000.
- The Program or Project total budget could be more than £10,000, however the maximum ASAP can give to the Program or Project is £10,000
Who Can Apply?
- Art Institutions within the countries of Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the UK
- The Program or Project must cater to catalysing and expanding the field of Modern & Contemporary South Asian fine and applied arts
- The Program or Project must cater to art professionals who are working with the following disciplines (please read further descriptions of each division below):
- Research
- Publications
- Archiving
- Professional Development
- Programs or Projects can be run by individuals, however they must be associated with an institution
- At this moment in time, ASAP does not allocate grants for architectural research or individual artist projects, programs or residencies.
