Deadline: 19 March 2025
Applications are now open for the Youngcare’s at Home Care Grant to keep young people at home with their families, and preventing new admissions to inappropriate housing.
Youngcare’s at Home Care Grants (AHCG) provide funding for equipment, home modifications and essential support that is unable to be funded through other means (eg. NDIS). This funding is to both enhance the quality of life for young people with high physical care needs and assist them to remain living in their own home with loved ones.
Aims
- Youngcare aims to deliver greater choice to individuals through a range of initiatives, including:
- Youngcare Connect information and support hotline
- Youngcare Specialist Disability Accommodation
- Youngcare At Home Care Grants
- Youngcare Home Support Grants
- Disability advocacy
Funding Information
- The grants provide one-off funding of up to $10,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- To help those aged 16-65 with high physical care needs who are living at home, and are at risk of entering inappropriate housing.
- This refers to the name of the actual Applicant — the person, pith the disability who needs the Grant.
Application Requirements
- You may need to upload/submit attachments to support your application. This is very simple, but requires you to have the documents saved on your computer, or on a storage device.
- You need to allow enough time for each file to upload before trying to attach another file. Files can be up to 25MB each; however, they do recommend trying to keep files to a maximum of 5MB – the larger the file, the longer the upload time.
