The Government of the Australian Capital Territory is thrilled to invite grant applications to support LGBTIQA+ people who want to develop their leadership skills and contribute to LGBTIQA+ communities.
Objectives
- Improved understanding of LGBTIQA+ experiences: To foster awareness and understanding of the experiences of LGBTIQA+ Canberrans.
- Improved wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ people: To improve the social and emotional wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ people, their communities and families.
- Increased participation of LGBTIQA+ communities: To increase the participation of LGBTIQA+ people, their communities and their families in all areas of public life.
- Increased capacity and leadership: To build capacity of organisations to expand and deliver inclusive services.
Funding Information
- $650 for opportunities in the ACT.
- $1000 for opportunities in NSW.
- $1500 for opportunities in other States and Territories.
Eligible Projects
- Participation in conferences.
- Participation in training.
- Mentorship.
- Other professional development opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be Australian Citizens, have permanent resident status, or be on a temporary Australian visa which expires no less than two years from the date of application.
- Have satisfactorily acquitted all previous grants provided by the ACT Government (except for current year’s funding), if applicable.
- Live in the ACT or a surrounding region.
- Individuals who are under 18 years old must have consent from their parent or guardian to apply.
