Applications open for Northwest Aurora Arts Grants (US)

The purpose of the Northwest Aurora Arts Grants is to help foster the Aurora Cultural Arts District (ACAD) and economic development in Original Aurora by providing financial support to individuals and organizations who encourage and/or create arts and culture programs and services within the Aurora Cultural Arts District capable of attracting diverse audiences to the area. Applicants not primarily located within ACAD may be able to seek partnerships with the venues within ACAD.

Eligibility Criteria

• Grants are available to nonprofit and for-profit organizations and individual artists based in ACAD or conducting programming and projects within the ACAD boundaries.
• Organizations headquartered in ACAD must apply for operational grants.
• Organizations located outside ACAD must apply for project grants.
• Applicants outside ACAD can seek partnerships with venues within ACAD.

Review Criteria

• In addition to submitting the online application, applicants will be reviewed and scored during the Panel Review Meeting. The panel will consist of Aurora Cultural Affairs Commissioners (CAC), commissioners from other Colorado arts commissions, and chosen members from the Aurora community.

Application Requirements

• Due to time and technical limitations, slide presentations or video cannot be used. You are encouraged to attach additional materials to your application like charts, graphs, infographics, brochures, photos, past event programs, and Board rosters (if applicable).
• Grantees will be required to complete a survey at the conclusion of the grant application and award process, as well as periodic surveys regarding their use of awarded funds, workshops, and on the application experience. Your input will help them improve future grant processes.
