The Cambridgeshire Community Foundation is inviting grant applications to support healthcare in Peterborough and the area covered by Peterborough and Stamford hospitals.
The fund supports both individuals requiring medical equipment and organisations who carry out healthcare activities.

- Grant amount: up to £20,000
Eligible Activities
- Applications for both capital and revenue costs for healthcare activities are invited covering:
- Preservation and promotion of good health and education about health issues;
- Provision of palliative care in relation to terminal or chronic conditions;
- Research into the causes, treatment and care for of all forms of illness (which can be undertaken anywhere in the UK);
- Relief and treatment of all forms of physical and mental illness and rehabilitation from such illness.
Ineligible Activities
- Grants will not be made for the following:
- Capital or revenue costs for healthcare activities relating to the delivery of Directed Enhanced Services (DES);
- where the activity could be paid for by a surgery, the NHS or another source;
- where the grant will result in financial benefit to a person or group of people, through for example improvements or alterations to a property;
- to cover expenditure already incurred.
Eligibility Criteria
- Medical professionals on behalf of individuals and non-profit organisations.
- They only fund community-focused, not-for-profit organisations, which must be legally registered if their income is above £5,000. This includes the following:
- Registered, exempt, and excepted charities
- Charitable incorporated organisations (CIOs)
- Religious organisations if the project benefits the wider community and does not include religious content
- Parish and town councils, village halls, and parochial church councils
- Community interest companies (CICs), Social Enterprises and Companies Limited by Guarantee.
Ineligibility Criteria
- They do not fund the following:
- Organisational structures not listed above, or projects which are not charitable in focus
- Activities or projects which have already taken place
- Sponsored events or fundraising activities
- They cannot usually fund grant-making bodies or activities
- Improvements to land/buildings that are not open to the general public at convenient hours
- Projects promoting political activities or lobbying for causes.
Application Requirements
- All organisations are required to have the following documents, which should be regularly and recently reviewed, signed, and dated by a member of your management committee:
- A signed governing document specific to your organisation, such as articles of association or a constitution, which must confirm that you are operating not for profit.
- Accounts for the past year. If you are a small unincorporated group, they will accept an income and expenditure document or something similar. If your organisation is less than a year old, please provide a list of your income and expenditure to date.
- A recent bank statement or paying-in slip, from the last 3 months, to verify your organisation’s banking details.
- Names of three independent/unconnected management committee members/trustees/directors. To ensure your organisation has good governance and fair decision-making, we ask that management committee members/trustees/directors are independent/unconnected.
