The Creative Debuts is delighted to seek applications for its Black Artists Grant Programme, a no-strings attached financial support to help Black artists.
This grant has been set up because Black artists are systematically under-supported by the art world; by institutions, curators, the artist-led scene, major and minor funding bodies, the market, art schools, and by audiences too.
Artists can spend the grant on whatever they want – be that make new work, buy equipment or materials, travel, research, visit exhibitions or conferences, or to even just cover some life expenses.
Funding Information
- Each successful recipient will receive £500.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be based in the UK.
- This is specifically for Black artists (those with Black heritage and identify as Black); not politically Black, not POC or BAME.
- Open to all creative disciplines, eg painters, musicians, directors, jewellers, set designers, sculptors, choreographers etc.
