ALÿKEV Young Artist Fund – Turkey

In accordance with the purpose of the fund, support is given to young artists who need financial support while transforming their ideas into works of art, with feasible projects prepared in line with the theme of the period. The total amount to be given as support for the fund is determined by the Board of Directors every year.

“How does a person feel when he finds out that there is someone who is curious about the same thing as him?”

This year, with the theme of “Curiosity” at GSF, they want to pursue the interest in the unknown in an age of multiple crises and in these days when the rush is driving crazy. They know that the curiosity has the potential to learn, understand, and lead to establishing brand new channels of relationship and dialogue. The curiosity helps answer the questions. It may not be enough, they may not find what they are looking for, but the feeling of curiosity leads to discovery, path, journey. Only in this way can they find new and alternative paths.

Funding Information

• The total budget of the Young Artist Fund for 2024 is 585,000 TL. Each study can request a maximum of 45,000 TL per support.
• Beneficiaries whose art projects are deemed worthy of support by the Fund are expected to complete their works within five (5) months. The beneficiary who needs additional time is obliged to notify ALÿKEV 1 (one) month in advance.
• ALÿKEV organizes workshops, meetings, etc. to support young artists. events are organized. It is mandatory for the beneficiaries to fully and actively participate in these events to be held during the fund process in order to benefit from the grant.

Scope and Beneficiaries

• To apply:
  • It is necessary to be over 18 years old and not over 30 years old as of May 2024.
  • There are no city requirements for applications. Applications can be made from all provinces, but 10% quota will be reserved for applications from Hatay and Eskiÿehir provinces.
• Those who cannot fulfill the first condition as of the application date cannot apply to the fund. Even if they apply, their applications will not be evaluated.
• Each beneficiary can apply to the fund with as many works as he/she wishes. If an application is made with more than one work by the same beneficiary, only one (1) project of that artist will be supported.
