3rd Call for Proposals: Caribbean Culture Fund

Deadline: 15 June 2025

The Caribbean Culture Fund (CCF) is pleased to announce its third call for proposals.

This call is divided into two themes and a third call for residencies and fellowships. The CCF invites individuals, organizations, and institutions to submit their cultural and creative projects. They invite applicants to write their projects simply and clearly, paying particular attention to the relationship between objectives and budget, and to consider implementation constraints.

Categories

  • Call 3.1: Art for Change:
    • The Art for Change theme invites creatives and cultural organizations to explore the transformative power of art in shaping the Caribbean they envision. They seek projects that give voice to the region’s aspirations, challenges, and triumphs, and that address the changes artists wish to see in their communities, nations, and the broader Caribbean. This theme encourages artists to imagine, critique, and reimagine the Caribbean, using their work as a catalyst for social commentary, engagement, education, reflection, and positive change and new developments. They welcome proposals that showcase innovative and impactful art practices, from visual arts to performance, literature, and beyond, that contribute to a vibrant and inclusive Caribbean narrative.
  • Call 3.2: Caribbean Collaboration:
    • This theme invites projects to reflect connections between the Caribbean community. Applicants must be working with a collaborator based in another Caribbean country or territory and this partner or partners must be meaningfully included in the design and implementation of the project. The project must be multi-country or multi-territory in scope and execution; for example: bringing the work of creatives from many different countries to one or more countries. Projects that reflect connections to the larger African Diaspora and the legacy of African and Indigenous culture in the Caribbean will also be considered.
  • Call 3.3: Residencies and Fellowships:
    • The CCF invites cultural institutions and organizations with residential capacity to submit proposals for artist residencies and fellowships. The CCF grant must cover all costs, including visa, travel, accommodation, meals, and interpretation for up to a maximum of two artists from any Caribbean country or territory other than the one of the applicant. The residencies should foster creative exchange, collaboration, and innovation across diverse artistic disciplines and cultural contexts.

Funding Information

  • Call 3.1: Art for Change: CCF will award ten grants of USD 10,000 for projects that demonstrate the use of arts and culture to catalyze change.
  • Call 3.2: Caribbean Collaboration: CCF will award ten grants of USD 25,000 for projects that reflect or catalyze intra-regional cooperation and the promotion of arts across linguistic and geographic boundaries within the Caribbean and its Diasporas.
  • Call 3.3: Residencies and Fellowships: CCF will award ten grants of USD 5,000 to support short-term, intra-Caribbean residencies and fellowships.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Calls 3.1 and 3.2 are open to individual artists, as well as registered groups/collectives, cultural organizations and companies.
  • Call 3.3 is open to registered cultural organizations or institutions with residential capacity. Institutions must have the capacity to host international artists and provide a safe and supportive environment.
  • Countries:
    • Calls 3.1 and 3.2: The CCF will accept projects from countries within its Caribbean footprint that were not covered in the first two calls. The lead applicant must be based in and the project must take place in one of the following countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis and Suriname. In recognition of the severe challenges currently facing the creative sector in Haiti, the CCF will also open this call to applicants from Haiti.
    • Call 3.2, the project must additionally include collaborators from and may take place in at least one other Caribbean country or territory. The CCF defines the Caribbean as all countries and territories located within the Caribbean Sea. Central and Latin American continental countries and territories with Caribbean coastlines and strong Caribbean historical connections are also considered.
    • Call 3.3: This call is open to applicants from all countries and territories in the Caribbean.
