Submissions are now open for the Teach For Nigeria Fellowship.
The Teach for Nigeria fellowship program is a two-year, full-time, paid commitment that’s designed to build a movement of leaders who’ll work towards eliminating educational inequity in Nigeria.

The Fellowship Experience
- Where you teach:
- You’ll be placed as a full-time teacher in a public or low-income private school.
- As a Fellow, you will be placed in communities across Ogun State, where Teach For Nigeria is actively making a meaningful impact.
- The average number of students taught by each Fellow is 140.
- You might be a class teacher, teaching all subjects, or a subject matter specialist teaching specific subjects like English, maths, or science.
What you do?
- Connect
- As you work closely with other teachers, parents, school staff and your students, you’ll learn to listen attentively, to empathize, and to build strong relationships.
- Envision
- As you envision a bold, new future for your children, you’ll learn to dream big for yourself and others.
- Plan
- As you plan for students at different levels with a wide range of needs and interests, you’ll learn advanced planning, organisational and time management skills.
- Execute
- As you teach students in different ways that meet their varied learning styles, you’ll discover and improve a range of communication, management and team skills.
- Reflect
- As you watch your students’ progress, you’ll uncover ways to improve both in and beyond class. You’ll learn to reflect deeply and to make meaning of every challenge and opportunity.

Eligibility Criteria
- Ensure that you meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
- Graduate with a minimum of second-class lower (2:2).
- Complete NYSC on or before July 2024.
- Be a Nigerian.
- Not more than the age of 35 at the time of application.
