Deadline: 12 November 2024
A Churchill Fellowship is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lead the change you want to see. Ready to turn your passion into action? Apply today!
Churchill Fellows are dedicated and dynamic individuals with a vision for change in their community or sector. They support their mission by funding them to explore innovations around the world and then helping them to put their ideas into practice in the UK. This can be done in person or online.
Fellows come from all areas of society and work on any issue they are passionate about. They select them regardless of qualifications, background or age, and they priorities those who would not receive funding from other sources. They bring lived or learned experience of the issue they wish to address, and they recognize the insight and authority these bring.
Cost Covered
- They will fund you to spend up to two months discovering new ideas and best practice among leading practitioners anywhere in the world. You can do this in person or online. Then they will help you to write up your ideas as a Report published on the website, to share your insights with your community or sector, and to turn your ideas into action in the UK.
- The initial grant covers all expenses for your research phase, including all travel costs. If needed, it also covers interpreters and travel assistants.
Eligibility Criteria
- Churchill Fellowships are open to all UK resident citizens aged 18 or above, regardless of their background, professional experience, qualifications or age. They are looking for people with the passion and potential to make a real difference to their community or professional sector, and they assess on future possibilities not past achievements.
- Fellows bring lived or learned experience of the issue they want to address and they recognise the authority and insight this brings. They prioritise those who would not receive funding from any other source.
- They encourage applications from people who are disabled, who are neurodivergent, who have mental health problems, and they will do their best to provide any additional support you may need.
