The Sustainable Development Solutions Network SDSN Youth is thrilled to announce the launch of applications for the 2025 Local Pathways Fellowship (LPF) program, this unique opportunity invites emerging leaders passionate about sustainable urban development to contribute to achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Local Pathways Fellowship serves as a dynamic platform for young change makers to translate their vision for sustainability into actionable solutions, driving progress toward the SDGs within their communities and beyond.
The Local Pathways Fellowship, an initiative of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network – Youth (SDSN Youth), equips young urban leaders with the knowledge, skills, and networks needed to tackle complex urban challenges.
With a focus on Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, LPF provides an immersive training program that transforms ideas into impactful projects, spanning grassroots initiatives, startup ventures, and policy reforms.
Eligibility Criteria
- The fellowship is open to young leaders aged 18-30, including early-career professionals and students with a passion for sustainable urban development. Applicants should demonstrate:
- At least one year of academic or professional experience in relevant fields such as urban planning, advocacy, or community initiatives.
- A well-defined project idea or initiative aligned with the SDG 11.
- The ability to commit 4-6 hours per week from February to November 2025.
