The Gorchakov Fund, Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation, and MGIMO University have jointly launched the InteRussia fellowship programme for specialists in international relations.
The programme is aimed at young foreign specialists in history and theory of international relations, as well as political science and foreign regional studies.
During the fellowship, its participants will draft research papers on topics of their interest under the guidance of academic advisors from the MGIMO Institute for International Studies and Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
About Programme
- The Values and Institutions in the Changing World Order programme, implemented in partnership with MGIMO University, is an opportunity for non-Russian researchers to learn about the Russian agenda firsthand, attend lectures and workshops by their leading partners, exchange experience with counterparts from different countries, and visit educational, scientific and research, and socio-political venues.
- Programme participants not only meet with officials and representatives of various academic schools and areas of study, but also work under the guidance of MGIMO academic advisors while drafting their own research papers.

Eligibility Criteria
- non-Russian citizenship
- age 25−39
- place of residence outside of Russia
- professional command of English (CEFR C1 and higher)
- submission of a research proposal on the selected topic in accordance with the requirements specified in the application form
- absence of any employment and other relations with MGIMO (including part-time external jobs; an applicant also must not be studying at the postgraduate programme or defending a thesis at MGIMO)
- PhD degree or at least 3 years of working experience in academic institutions/think tanks or postgraduate studies in progress.
