The InteRussia has launched a call for applications for the fellowship in journalism for specialists from Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries.
The InteRussia programme is an opportunity for foreign journalists to familiarise themselves with the Russian agenda, learn from the experience of leading Russia Today Arabic specialists, exchange experience with counterparts from different countries, as well as visit renowned educational, research and socio-political platforms and events.
Over the course of four weeks, participants will have the opportunity to meet with top Russian experts and analysts, as well as colleagues from Russian news agencies. They will additionally attend a number of practice-oriented trainings and workshops on various aspects of the work activities of television journalists. In addition, the non-Russian journalists will have an opportunity to visit the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025 (SPIEF).

- Fellowship will run from May 25 to June 22, 2025.
- Location: Moscow, Russia.
- Working language: Arabic, English.
Funding Information
- A scholarship of RUB 30,000 for the entire duration of fellowship.
Costs Covered
- The organisers will cover the following costs:
- Travel expenses to/from Moscow;
- Double accommodation;
- Visa support.
- The following costs are borne by the participants:
- Medical insurance;
- Meals.
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to take part in the selection, applicants must meet the following requirements at the close of the application process:
- Non-Russian citizenship
- Age 25-35
- Proficiency in English (B2 level and above)
- Proficiency in Arabic at a native speaker level
Selection Criteria
- Applicants for the fellowship will be selected on a competitive basis. The selection criteria include:
- Candidate’s professional background
- Quality of papers published by a candidate
- Results of the (online) interview
