The Frank Sargeson is calling all writers from New Zealand for its Fellowship Program.
Funding Information
- The fellowship offers a published New Zealand writer a stipend of $26,000 to write fulltime on a project(s).
Eligible Projects
- The project:
- The Fellow accepts that the Fellowship may be promoted by the Frank Sargeson Trust in publications and media activities.
- The Fellow agrees to take part in an event or activity if required while holding the Fellowship.
- The Fellow agrees to acknowledge the Frank Sargeson Trust and role of the Fellowship in association with any work published, produced or created as a result of the Fellowship and provide the Trust with a signed complimentary copy of any book or publication that results directly from work produced during their tenure.
- The Fellow agrees to provide the Trust with a written evaluation of their experience of the Fellowship within four weeks of the completion of their fellowship term.
Eligibility Criteria
- The following criteria apply:
- Applicants must be published New Zealand writers with a proven body of work.
- Applicants must hold New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
- Applicants must not hold another writing or research grant or award concurrently with the Sargeson Fellowship.
