Applications are now open for Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Fellowship to engage a curated cohort of emerging entrepreneurs, providing critical tools and guidance as they build and implement programs that address urgent global challenges.
The CGI Fellowship is a year-round program for emerging entrepreneurs where 25 individuals are selected annually to develop a CGI Commitment to Action a new, specific, and measurable project that addresses a pressing global challenge that provides a high-profile platform to launch these commitments at the CGI Annual Meeting in front of an audience of more than 2,000 leaders across the corporate, government, and philanthropic sectors as well as civil society.
The new CGI Fellowship builds on the success of CGI University which, since 2008, has engaged more than 13,000 university students across the world and deployed more than $4M in funding to early-stage entrepreneurs.
Focus Areas
- They bring together established and emerging global leaders to create and implement solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges, driving urgent action and innovation on:
- Climate Resilience: Building more resilient communities in the face of climate change.
- Economic Inclusion: Creating more equitable and inclusive economic growth and stability for all.
- Health Equity: Creating healthier communities where there is greater equity in access and care.
- Humanitarian Response: Driving critical resources to communities experiencing humanitarian crises.
- Women and Girls’ Equality: Unlocking the full potential of women and girls and striving for gender parity worldwide.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of admission
- Commitment to Action that aligns with a CGI focus area
- Current resume or CV
- Responses to three essay prompts on entrepreneurship, leadership, and partnerships
- Letter of Recommendation
