Deadline: 13 April 2025
Applications are now open for the Teach for Cambodia Fellowship Program, a 2-year full-time, fully-funded leadership development program for highly motivated Cambodians to unleash their professional and leadership potential while committing to full-time teaching in the classroom.
Teach for Cambodia Fellows are placed in low-resourced public schools and are supported for two years with intensive training and support to grow their leadership and impact.
Benefits
- If you are selected as a fellow, you will be trained at their residential 6-week Intensive Training to prepare you to be successful in and beyond the classrooms. It doesn’t stop there; you will be supported throughout the 2-year fellowship program by coaches and mentors to ensure you can lead your classroom and have a positive impact on your students.
Opportunities
- Leading a Classroom: Teaching with Passion and Commitment
- As a classroom leader, you have the unique opportunity to influence the future of their children and the future of Cambodia. Your role is to set bold and measurable goals for your students and work in partnership with them, your colleagues, parents and community members to reach these goals. They support and train you so that you can equip your students with the academic, skills and mindset needed to thrive in the 21st century.
- A Transformational Journey
- Your leadership journey at Teach for Cambodia is one of significant learning, overcoming tremendous challenges and becoming a better person. It is a journey of discovering your strengths, living with core values, and taking on responsibilities that are larger than yourself. You will tackle real-world problems that will shape you into strong leaders. You will develop the transferable skills and authentic relationships needed to be successful in life after the fellowship. For many of their fellows, this journey is life-changing.
- Long-Term Leadership and Advocacy
- The two-year fellowship is just the beginning. They will continue to support and work with you as an alumni for a lifetime. You will leverage your Teach for Cambodia experiences to contribute in education, government, social innovation, social enterprises, corporate responsibility, and other sectors. You join a community of leaders dedicated to solving educational inequity and achieving excellence for all, helping to fuel social and economic progress in Cambodia.
Eligibility Criteria
- You are eligible to apply if you are a university graduate, young professional, or existing teacher (civil servant). They seek individuals from diverse backgrounds and majors (you do not have to be an education major!). They are looking for committed and connected leaders with a growth mindset, leadership potential, and clear core value and purpose. You are not required to have teaching experience when applying to the fellowship program.
