The Rocky Mountain Institute’s Global Women in Clean Energy Fellowship is now accepting applications from women professionals in Nigeria, Ethiopia, and Zambia, designed to empower emerging leaders with the skills, networks, and resources needed to drive the clean energy transition in their countries and beyond.

- Technical Training on distributed energy resources and local business models
- Project Management skills, including risk mitigation, procurement, and finance
- Group Mentorship with women energy leaders from across sectors
- Peer Networking with other passionate women across the region
- Capstone Project to develop a clean energy policy, initiative, or strategy in your country
- Leadership Accelerator: Select fellows will be invited to a 3-day in-person leadership workshop in November 2025. This advanced training will focus on hands-on leadership skills for women leading clean energy projects or shaping policy.
Program Timeline and Commitment
- Duration: June 16 – October 31, 2025
- Format: Online (mix of live and self-paced content)
- Time Commitment:
- 15 hours/month
- 2 live sessions/month (1.5 hours each)
- 3 hours/week of self-paced learning
Eligibility Criteria
- They’re looking for early to mid-career women who:
- Are currently working on clean energy projects or policies in Nigeria, Ethiopia, or Zambia
- Are passionate about leadership, innovation, and social impact in the energy space
- Want to grow their network and drive meaningful change in their communities.
