The Green Hub Central India (GHCI) Fellowship is a 10-month video fellowship that aims to engage, empower and digitally equip rural and tribal youth from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand in the conservation of biodiversity, traditional knowledge, natural resources, and sustainable practices.
Up to 25 youth are selected for this fellowship every year. The long-term goal is to work with local youth and their communities to create avenues for greater exposure, agency, expression, and integration with sustainable livelihood options.
This 10-month residential fellowship is designed to engage and empower young individuals in the fields of environmental conservation, sustainable farming, livelihoods and social change, through the medium of video and storytelling. Selected candidates will participate in a one-year residential fellowship program in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age group: 18-35 years (exceptions can be made in some extraordinary cases)
- Be ordinarily resident of Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Bengal (Uttar Dinajpur and below)
- Have strong communication skills in at least one local language
- Have a strong interest in working with communities on sustainable agriculture and livelihoods, conservation of wildlife, biodiversity and the environment
- Be willing to commit 10 months for the fellowship.
