The ”la Caixa” Foundation grants 55 fellowships to study a Bachelor’s degree or higher art courses at public universities or public higher education centres in Spain.
This programme promotes the development of educational and social skills for children and adolescents in situations of poverty and social exclusion through diverse iniciatives and social entities.

Funding Information
- The scholarship will include:
- A salary grant of 750 euros per month, which will begin upon commencement of the program for which the grant has been awarded. This stipend will be received during the academic year, up to a maximum of 10 months per year. The purpose of this stipend is to cover general expenses incurred by full-time study.
- Initial lump sum of 750 euros for the acquisition of IT equipment and materials.
- Additional provisions for an international stay, including:
- Per Monthly allowance of 400 euros additional throughout the international stay.
- Per One-time allowance of 400 euros for the first month for travel and installation expenses.
- Enrollment in the public university or public higher education institution in which the scholarship holder has been admitted:
- The tuition fee will be covered by the Ministry’s general scholarship of Education, Vocational Training and Sports or the Basque Government.
- In the event of denial of the general scholarship, the “la Caixa” Foundation will cover this amount. The tuition fee covered will correspond to the public university credit rate set by each autonomous community for each academic year.
- Enrollment in English courses for the entire duration of the scholarship.
- Personalized academic guidance program.
- Training program in transversal skills.
- Final allocation of 250 euros for expenses related to the issuance of the degree, the accreditation of the qualifications obtained and other administrative expenses that may be generated, derived from the completion of the studies for which the scholarship has been granted.
Eligibility Criteria
- Income threshold:
- The applicant must be a beneficiary of the fixed income allocation of the general scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports or the Basque Government in the 2024-2025 call. Therefore, all applicants must be in the threshold 1 of family income established by said organizations.
- Studies completed:
- Applicants must have completed the final year of their Baccalaureate or Advanced Vocational Training (CFGS) in the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Applicants who have completed their Baccalaureate studies must pass the university entrance exams in the 2025 regular session.
- Caixa Proinfancia Applicants:
- For the five scholarships intended exclusively for Caixa Proinfancia beneficiaries, applicants, in addition to meeting the rest of the requirements established in this section, must be beneficiaries of this program during the 2024-2025 academic year.
Selection Criteria
- The process will comprise two phases:
- Pre-selection: Candidates will be distributed by subject area based on the discipline of study indicated in the application. The candidates with the highest grades in their Baccalaureate or CFGS transcripts in each subject area will be pre-selected.
- Final Selection: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a personal interview before an external evaluation committee, which will, at its discretion, select the candidates who best meet the evaluation criteria established in this call.
