If you’re a driven young leader aged 27 to 35, passionate about creating impact and building connections across Southeast Asia, the ASEAN Youth Fellowship is your platform to lead, learn, and collaborate!
Objectives
- The ASEAN Youth Fellowship (AYF) is designed to cultivate the next generation of ASEAN leaders by equipping them with the insights, networks, and cross-sectoral collaboration skills needed to shape a more inclusive and innovative region.
- Through the Fellowship, participants will:
- Deepen their understanding of regional opportunities and challenges
- Build meaningful connections with emerging leaders across ASEAN
- Engage in thought-provoking dialogues with senior policy-makers, industry experts, and changemakers
- Participate in exclusive institutional visits and experiential learning journeys in Singapore and the region.
Benefits
- Expenses for the programme will be borne by the Organisers. These include accommodation, transport and meals.
Programme Specifications
- The programme will feature the following key elements:
- Dialogues with senior policy makers and prominent thought leaders;
- Immersive institutional visits; and
- Exclusive learning journeys to key installations and organisations.
Duration
- Co-organised by the Singapore International Foundation (SIF) and the National Youth Council (NYC) Singapore, the seventh edition of AYF will be held in person from 7 to 14 November 2025 in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Role and Responsibilities
- Upon completion of the programme, ASEAN Youth Fellows are committed to:
- Foster enduring ties and partnerships across ASEAN
- Expand and strengthen regional connectivity among youth leaders
- Champion youth development within their communities and sectors
- Drive meaningful social impact across borders.
Eligibility Criteria
- To apply, you must be:
- A professional aged 27 to 35
- A citizen of an ASEAN member state
- A youth leader with a proven track record in your field or community, and the potential to take on greater leadership roles.

- A very brief self-introduction (e.g. name and nationality)

- Describe your primary motivation for joining the AYF programme and how it aligns with your personal or professional goal(s).
- Share a specific way you intend to contribute to your community/ASEAN region after AYF.
- Share a challenge that you face as a leader and your experience in overcoming it.
- What is your vision for leadership in the ASEAN context?
