The Arctic Basecamp is seeking applications for its Youth and Early Career Scientist Programme to provide young climate activists and early career researchers with tools and connections to help them in their activism and future careers.
Arctic Basecamp aims to help young people level up their activism and career goals by offering tools, scientific information and projects. Their resources and opportunities offer individuals the boost they may need for their next steps. They currently offer the following opportunities and resources:
- Youth Ambassador Programme
- Climate Science Ambassador Programme
The Arctic Basecamp Ambassadors are young climate voices and early career scientists/researchers who collaborate with Arctic Basecamp to get their message out into the world. Being an ambassador is a 1-year commitment and collaboration with Arctic Basecamp. Responsibilities can range from sharing and producing content to delivering speeches at events. In exchange, they offer scientific resources, networking opportunities with people in the climate space, promotion on their social networks and possible access to online and physical climate events.

- Youth Climate Ambassadors: Are you a motivated individual tackling climate issues between the ages of 18-25? Then becoming a youth climate ambassador might be right for you!
- Climate Science Ambassadors: Are you an early career scientist or researcher between the ages of 22-30? Climate Science Ambassadors collaborate with Arctic Basecamp and are connecting points between them, their communities and peers.

What they expect from you?
- Youth Climate Ambassadors:
- To be passionate about climate change and curious about the science behind it
- To work with them for one year
- To regularly create climate content with them
- To share the work they do with your network, both online and offline
Eligibility Criteria
- Climate Science Ambassadors:
- Aged between 22-30
- Finished Masters/PHD students/Post Doc
- Climate related major research field
- Confident at public speaking
- Have an idea of how joining them in Davos would benefit you (after receiving briefing documents)
