Are you a passionate citizen, aged 18 to 35, who believes your actions can support your local community and that every small positive action can make the world a better place? If yes, then now is your chance to apply for the United People Global’s Sustainability Leadership Program.
The UPG Sustainability Leadership is a movement that mobilises individuals and organisations to support positive citizen leadership on sustainability. This movement is led by UPG Sustainability Leaders and each year UPG trains 500+ UPG Sustainability Leaders from all world regions to join the existing family of outstanding leaders who are taking action within their communities to demonstrate the power of citizens to create a more sustainable world. As part of their actions, UPG Sustainability Leaders have directly trained over 86,000 citizens across the world (and counting). They are thrilled and ready to train the next Class of ambassadors and warriors for positive citizen leadership on sustainability.
What they are looking for?
They are building a diverse group of people who are taking positive action that helps the world to tackle sustainability challenges. And so please show them who you are because they are not looking for the “same” type of people. This opportunity is free to selected Applicants and so they are looking for the most motivated among the applicants. Is your passion for and commitment to sustainability strong enough? Are you willing to stand proudly and to take your place among a family of warriors for a more sustainable world? Successful applicants always take extra steps to demonstrate their motivation to become UPG Sustainability Leaders.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be aged 18-35 between 1 March and 31 July 2025.
- Candidates must be self-motivated, capable of overcoming major challenges and able to think outside the box.
- Applicants from all nationalities are eligible to apply.
- Candidates from all genders and candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Evaluation Criteria
- The evaluation is done by reviewing the following four sections of your application:
- Profile – who are you? This helps them to strive for diversity.
- Motivation – why do you want to be a UPG Sustainability Leader?
- Capability – how capable are you to do what you want to do?
- Potential for Impact – what is the potential of your early ideas?
