Treeconnect Double Mobility Youth Exchange Program – Germany

Deadline: 1 April 2024

Apply for the Treeconnect, a two mobilities Youth Exchange organised by Madrid Outdoor Education from Spain, and Dreaming OPEnly from Germany that aims to establish a long-term learning process that will transform ourselves, the organisations and the communities.

This project is intended to be a clear example of how young people can transform their reality and the importance of fostering optimism to dream of a better future. In addition, this project aims to become an example of how to make that future a reality by sharing and shaping the tools to transform the lives and the communities. It is important to mention that this is a Youth Exchange project, and is NOT going to be developed as a therapy project, but rather as an experience to talk about and generate awareness on mental health and related topics among peers and with the use of Art and Outdoor education.

Methodologies

  • The activities will be based on Non-Formal Education, whit approaches based on Outdoor and Artisitic education, providing a variety of tools that will be involving and interesting on many different levels. The idea is to empower the participants so that they will be the center and the heart of the project in all its phases.
  • The local actions:
    • In between the two main mobilities each national group has to organise a series of little local action to create awareness on the topics of mental health, on the importance of nature and movement to promote a healthy lifestyle. These actions are meant to create an impact on communities, to promote a sense of active citizenship and to empower the people involved in it. During the second mobility a final event will be organised collectively by all the participants and the organisations involved.
  • The Food:
    • During the first mobility:
      • They will provide food for 3 meals and 2 snacks. Each participant will cook their own meal using a camping stove. Madrid Outdoor Education will provide the stove and all the cooking utensils to every participant. The ingredients will also include meet product.
    • During the second mobility:
      • The food will be provided already cooked and prepared by professionists every day. All the food for the entire duration of this mobility will be vegetarian. Everyday there will be 3 main meals and 2 snacks.
