The Ministry of Tribal Affairs in collaboration with MyGov through “Tribal Song – Dharti Abha Geet” Contest invites creative minds to compose and share original songs or poems that reflect the spirit, traditions, and resilience of tribal life.
Entries should explore themes such as nature, freedom, cultural heritage, and the profound bond between indigenous communities and the environment.
Funding Information
- The winner will receive a cash prize of ₹20,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The contest is open to Indian Nationals only.
Evaluation Criteria
- Relevance to Theme: How well the composition captures the essence of tribal life, traditions, and connection to nature.
- Originality and Creativity: Uniqueness of the composition and innovative expression.
- Lyrical Quality: Use of language, poetic devices, and overall lyrical appeal.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Respectful and accurate representation of tribal cultures.
- Overall Impact: Emotional resonance and the ability to inspire or evoke thought.
Application Requirements
- Title of the Song/Poem (In both English and Hindi)
- Description: A brief overview (maximum 100 words) in both English and Hindi, highlighting the theme and inspiration behind the composition.
- Lyrics/Text: The complete lyrics or poem in a Word or PDF document.
- Audio Recording (Optional but Preferred): An audio file (MP3 format) of the song/poem, ensuring clear vocals and minimal background noise.
