This exhibition aims to spotlight the lived experiences of rural individuals and their advocacy for rural youth through art. It seeks to showcase the interconnectedness of the shared human experiences while raising awareness about the challenges, voices, and experiences of people in rural communities.

Eligibility Criteria

• Ages: 13 -30 years old.
• Rural Connections: Raised or currently based in a rural region.
• They are especially keen to share work from artists from rural individuals in Scotland, Netherlands and Malta but open to hear from diverse rural lived-in experiences or passionate voices for this project.

• By submitting your artwork to the Starving Artist Initiative for consideration in “Rural Revolt” exhibition and publication, you acknowledge and agree that:
  • Approval for Use: The Starving Artist Initiative has permission to use and showcase your artwork for marketing, image use, and publication purposes related to the project.
  • Image Use: The initiative is allowed to reproduce images of your artwork for promotional and documentation purposes, including digital and print media.
  • Publication and Exhibitions: Your artwork may be included in “The Body Remembers” digital publication and showcased in related exhibitions organized by the Starving Artist Initiative with no monetary compensation.
