The Norwegian Health Association is seeking applications for its Financing of Running Costs and Networking Activities 2026 to fund high-quality research and strengthen the connection between basic and clinical research by building networks between dementia researchers and research groups across disciplines in Norway.
Funding Information
- Through this funding opportunity they, therefore, offer financing of running costs of up to 400,000 NOK related to ongoing research activities focusing on causes, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment (pharmacological and non-pharmacological) of dementia and/or network building activities.
- Grant funds may be applied for from January 1 st 2026 to December 31st 2027, with a maximum project period of 12 months. If there is a need for further extension of the project period, this must be specifically stated in the application.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be employed at a Norwegian research institution to be eligible for funding. Norwegian universities, university colleges, research institutes, hospitals and institutions with research as part of their activities are eligible grantee institutions. The applicant must hold a PhD degree.
Evaluation Criteria
- Scientific quality and/or the research potential of the network
- Qualification of the applicant and project team and/or the quality of the network and collaboration potential
- Possible impact/added value related to ongoing research/user involvement
Application Requirements
- Project Title:
- Overall aims and objectives for the network. The applicant must demonstrate his/her competence and knowledge related to the scientific challenges in the research field (national and international)
- Include a description of hypothesis, methodological approach, if relevant
- Describe the organizational framework of the network. Who will participate and what roles/responsibilities will the key participants possess?
- Project plan. Provide a project plan (with a defined timeline) for the proposed activities.
- Possible impact. Description of how the network may contribute to dementia research. What would be the added value of the applied grant related to ongoing or future networking/research activities?
- Description of user involvement.
- Overall communication and dissemination strategy
- Reference list
- CV with track record of the applicant, maximum 4 pages Use the provided CV template available in the application portal.
- Letter of approval from the project administrator – maximum 1 page
- Budget: The budget must provide information about the income and planned expenses related to this grant proposal. The sums related to all costs must be indicated.
