The Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) initiative, established as a European Partnership under Horizon Europe and co-funded by the European Commission, aims to address the increasing burdens on European health and care systems.
The aim of THCS is to coordinate and optimise research and innovation efforts in Europe and its partner countries to support the transformation of health and care systems that are under severe pressure and need to transform in order to meet people’s future needs.
Themes
- Project proposals must focus on one of two sub-themes:
- Strengthening the health and primary and community care system: This involves promoting continuous care pathways and different forms of primary and community care through organizational innovations, operational improvements and innovative service delivery models.
- Systemic approaches to the modernisation of the primary and community care sector: The aim is to provide evidence-based knowledge to support policy development and strategic planning for the modernisation of the primary and community care sector, drawing on multidisciplinary and transnational perspectives.
Funding Information
- ANR will exclusively fund the French partners of the selected projects, up to a maximum of 300,000€ per partner.
- The funding will be awarded for a maximum initial period of three (3) years.
Eligibility Criteria
- Projects can be submitted by participants belonging to one of the following categories (partner eligibility may vary according to national/regional rules):
- Academic research – research teams working in universities, other higher education institutions or research institutes;
- Clinical/public health sector – research teams working in hospitals/public health and/or other healthcare settings and health organisations;
- Enterprise – private companies of all sizes;
- Operational stakeholders – eg patient advocacy organisations, municipalities and local governments, local/national NGOs.
