Deadline: 24 January 2025
The BIRCA senior is a newly developed residency program that focuses on creating space at BIRCA for performing artists 55+.
By creating a special space for this particular age group of performing artists in Denmark, they want to support a debate about the benefits and opportunities for mature performing artists. The residency is facilitated by choreographer Camilla Stage, who holds workshops in mindful movement, meditations and silent walks in nature throughout the course.
BIRCA is a laboratory for the new ecological performing arts. By embracing BIRCA’s natural surroundings, they invite artists to contribute a vision for an ecological future that allows for connection, generosity, and sharing.
