Reel Competition on Walk to The Monuments or Sites of Indian Independence

This competition invites you to step into history, retrace the legacy of their freedom fighters, and bring these stories to life through a powerful reel.

Take a walk through history and tell the stories that shaped the nation. From iconic landmarks to lesser-known local monuments, every step counts in celebrating their journey to independence.

Funding Information

• The top three short-listed winners will be awarded prize money of Rs. 10,000/- each.
• Top 200 participants along with one companion (spouse/guardian/relative etc.) would be issued e-invitation to witness Independence Day Celebration to be held on 15th August, 2025 at Red Fort, Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria

• Participant must be a Citizen of India.
• An individual can participate only once.

Application Requirements

• Participants need to record and submit a short video/reel depicting Monuments/Sites of historical importance in India’s Independence, easily accessible to them.
• The individual contribution (either self or others) is to be shown in the short video/reel.
• The short video/reel must of 45-60 seconds.
• The short video/reel may be uploaded on social media with a hashtag #NewIndia #EmpoweredIndia #IndependenceDay2025 for making it a viral trend.
• The entries will be bilingual i.e. in Hindi & English.
• The top 200 participants, selected for issuing e-invitation for witnessing Independence Day Ceremony-2025 at Red Fort, Delhi, are requested to provide the following mandatory details in respect of self and one companion (guardian/ spouse/relative, etc)
• Participant will, therefore, be required to provide only a valid e-mail & mobile number as further correspondence, if any, seeking the details for issuing the eInvitation & payment of the winning prize will only be made via e-mail. Therefore, the participant is requested to keep a regular watch on his/her e-mail.
• One mobile number & one email ID cannot be used by more than one participant for one competition/quiz/Contest during IDC-2025.
• On receipt of e-mail or call from the Ministry of Defence, three winners will be required to submit the requisite documents for releasing the winning prize/payment, viz. ID proof & Bank Details, copy of cancelled cheque, etc.
• It may be noted that all the expenses related to travel, lodging, food etc. to visit Delhi for witnessing Independence Day Ceremony at Red Fort, Delhi on 15th August, 2025 will be borne by the individual himself/herself.
• However, traveling in Delhi Metro toward to & fro journey for witnessing the Parade will be free of charge on showing e-invitation at any of Delhi Metro Station.
• Use of any unfair/spurious means/ malpractices including but not limited to impersonation, double participation etc. during the participation in the competition, will result rejection of participation.
• No copy right image should be used and an undertaking regarding the same to be furnished. Non-furnishing of the same will render the selection null and void. Furthermore, the organizers of the competition or any agency acting on their behalf reserves all rights in this regard.
