The CULTURHUB is inviting individual culture professionals, including organization representatives to apply to co-create a major part of the ambitious global scale event EXTRA LIVE in Virtual Art House (and extending to related digital and physical venues), which will be ongoing from June 1st 2025 until December 31st 2025.
It’s Extra because it adds another level of existence to world, which it is connected to. And it’s Live because everything is happening in real time, shared just as ordinary life. Together, they can join the world building of EXTRA LIVE event and co-create something extraordinary.
CULTURHUB is part of Digital Art House Turku project by Art House Turku and it is funded by NextGeneration EU. Open Call is also supported by French Institute in Finland. Virtual Art House is under construction with Proverse.
Where?
- Virtual Art House (Metaverse platform, with following spaces available)
- Main exhibition, Larger museum scale VR space
- Infinite Culture Tower (Small white cube solo spaces, infinite number available)
- Public space with immersive Stage (180-video, interactive elements and avatar-based productions)
- CULTURHUB (Co-working space, laboratory, incubator and think tank)
- Any physical, digital or virtual venue or event connected to the Virtual Art House
- Host a VR-Space dedicated for presenting Virtual Art House anywhere!
How?
- CULTURHUB Online Residency to Co-create productions (Early 2025)
- CULTURHUB Virtual Residency as public art work (Late 2025)
- Co-create: Curatorial, theoretical, conceptual or artistic input, technical partnerships etc.
- Solo: New or existing digital (or digitalised) productions
- Production support and part-funding available for productions with Co-create residencies OR work dedicated for the event as whole. (Funding is available only for projects completed before the end of June 2025)
What kind of content eligible?
- 3D: Sculptures and models
- 2D objects: Artworks, which can be exhibited on flat surface
- Video: 2D/180/360/Holographic etc.
- Performative works (In VR, if recorded choose “Video”)
- Interactive, narrative or conceptual works: Artworks with user-interphase in VR
- Sound: Sound based art works or music
- Word: Word based art works
- Artworks in NFT
- Curatorial, conceptual or theoretical input (regarding the whole event, collaborating with residency projects or separate productions)
Who can apply?
- Professionals from all fields of culture and also from organisations can apply to join the co-creation and the world building of the EXTRA LIVE.
