Deadline: 17 June 2025
The All-Party Parliamentary Group Malaysia on Sustainable Development Goals is thrilled to invite qualified evaluators, research institutions, universities, NGOs/CSOs and professional teams to submit proposals for the independent impact evaluation of its Food Security Projects.
This initiative aims to enhance sustainable food production, generate income, and empower and develop the capacity of local farmers to meet the needs of the local market.
This evaluation will play a critical role in assessing the effectiveness, sustainability, and real-world impact of over 380 community-based farming and livestock initiatives carried out across Malaysia. The findings will guide future programme improvements and scale-up strategies.
Areas of Focus
- Project effectiveness
- Sustainability and scalability
- Socioeconomic and environmental impact
- Community involvement and empowerment
- Lessons learned and recommendations
Categories
- The projects are divided into two main categories:
- Phase 1: These are new projects implemented by first-time solution providers, focusing on initiating community-based farming or livestock activities with support from the APPGM-SDG Food Security Grant. Phase 1 may involve entirely new communities that have not previously participated in the programme.
- Phase 2: These are expansion projects carried out by existing solution providers who have demonstrated successful outcomes in Phase 1. The focus is on scaling up their original projects and strengthening sustainability. Phase 2 typically operates within the same community and location as the Phase 1 project, allowing for deeper engagement, continuity, and broader impact.
