Open Call for Artistic Projects – Rwanda

After having worked on 10 artistic projects with their grantees from last year and seeing what impacts those had, they felt the need to continue this once more. They want to give both established and emerging local artist the chance to work on their project with them during this year. Project ideas come from the artists and they have the freedom to curate it the way they want to.

All art forms are welcome: music, contemporary dance, photography, film, theater, visual arts and many more. This year they don’t have a seperate call for exhibitions but of course it is still possible to have exhibitions as a project.

What does the Goethe-Institut provide?

• Financial support of up to 1.500.000 RWF
• Event organization for project outcomes
• Provision of space
• Support through their network
• Visibility on their Social Media and website

What do they expect from you?

• An innovative project idea
• Completed application form
• Budget plan
• CV of the project leader
• Additional references and material
• Concrete implementation ideas
• Reliance and motivation to collaborate with them
• Provide footage incl. copyrights of project execution

Eligibility Criteria

• All artists based in Rwanda that have an innovative project idea.
• All projects that meet the requirements will be considered. However, they will only be able to fund a limited number of projects. Innovative and especially creative and new ideas will be favoured. Thank you for understanding.
