The Korean Cultural Centre is thrilled to announce the 1st K-Pop Contest of the year, open to individuals and teams from all nationalities residing in South Africa.
This competition will take place online, allowing K-Pop enthusiasts from every corner of South Africa to participate. After a fierce battle of skills and creativity, the top 6 teams will earn an invitation to compete live at the KCC in Pretoria for the finals.
Benefits
- Preliminary Competition
- Travel cost supplement is only for participants.
- Travel cost supplement is up to R3, 000 p.p. and up to R15, 000 per team from Region C.
- Travel cost supplement is up to R2,000 p.p. and up to R10,000 per team from Region B & D.
- Travel cost supplement is not applicable to participants from Region A (Gauteng).
- Travel cost supplement will be paid after participation on the final competition.
- Finalists Competition
- First Place: Certificate and Award (R10, 000 Gift Card and R2, 000 Value Gift), Invitation to Perform at KCC events.
- Second Place: Certificate and Award (R7, 000 Gift Card and R2, 000 Value Gift), Invitation to Perform at KCC events.
- Third Place: Certificate and Award (R5, 000 Gift Card and R2, 000 Value Gift).
- Others: Awards (R2, 000 Value Gift).

- Submitted performances may be used for public interest by KOCIS, KOFICE, and KCCSA.
- Videos used for profit or promotion of specific groups or companies will be disqualified.
- Participants under 18 years old (at the time of application submission) must submit a Media Consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian.
