Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in collaboration with MyGov is hosting a comic challenge and invites budding artists encouraging them to depict the importance of courage, resilience, and peer support in fighting against substance use through the medium of comics.
Theme
- The comic contest’s theme is “Heroes of a Drug-Free Future”, and participants are encouraged to create comics depicting young heroes who take a stand against substance abuse, showing courage, resilience, and positive peer influence.
Prize Information
- The competition will recognize three winners with a cash prize:
- 1st winner will be rewarded with INR 15,000/-
- 2nd winner will be rewarded with INR 10,000/-
- 3rd winner will be rewarded with INR 5,000/-
Eligibility Criteria
- Entry into the competition is open to all Indian citizens.
Requirements
- Each entry must be accompanied by a brief description of 50-100 words (in either English or Hindi) of the concept behind the entry and how it encapsulates the essence of NMBA.
- All the entries should be in PDF format.
- The entries could be hand-drawn sketches, paintings with any medium, and illustrations.
- The use of online comic-creating tools like Pixton, ToonDoo, Canva, etc isn’t permissible.
- The participants must ensure that their MyGov profile is accurate and updated. This includes details such as name, photo, complete postal address, email ID, and phone number. Entries with incomplete profiles will not be considered and will be liable to be rejected.
- One participant can participate only once. Multiple entries from the same participant will lead to the participant’s disqualification.
