To spend a full academic year and reside with a host family in the United States of America for the academic year 2025/2026. The scholarship aims to develop leadership and personal skills and encourages commitment to society and the state. Emphasizing the principle of equal opportunities, AFS Egypt encourages students in all schools in the republic (governmental – experimental – languages).
Conditions for applying for the scholarship (no exceptions)
- The student must be an Egyptian with a leadership personality that qualifies him to represent Egypt as an ambassador abroad.
- The student’s date of birth must be between 1/15/2008 and 8/15/2010.
- The student must be transferred to the third year of middle school or (first – second) secondary school for the academic year 2024/2025.
- The student or any of his parents must not have applied for immigration to the United States of America within the last ten years.
- None of the student’s parents should be employees of the program, employees of the American embassy, or work in one of the programs funded by the American government.
- The student’s total must not be less than 80% in the academic year 2023/2022 and the first semester of the year 2023/2024.
