Deadline: 17 December 2024
Do you know a woman with the courage, vision, and determination to lead? Nominate her for the Amujae Initiative and help her take the next step in her journey. They are particularly keen to hear from women in underrepresented regions, including Central and Northern Africa. It’s time to bring their voices to the forefront.
The Amujae Initiative is more than a program; it’s a movement. Launched by the EJS Center, their mission is clear: to inspire and equip Africa’s most talented women to rise unapologetically to the highest levels of public leadership and to bring others along with them. They believe in the power of women to transform nations, and they are here to ensure they have the tools, support and sisterhood they need to do just that.
Every year, they select 15 extraordinary African women who are already making waves in politics and public service. Through their transformative leadership development experiences, they fuel their ambition, sharpen their skills, and connect them with a network that spans generations. These women become part of a powerful sisterhood a community of trailblazers united by a common purpose: to lead, to serve, and to pave the way for those who will follow.
This year, they are on the hunt for women who are aiming for the very top – whether it’s an elected office or an appointed position of power. To be considered, candidates must demonstrate:
- Vision: A clear and compelling vision for change.
- Leadership: Proven experience in senior leadership within political, civil, or international institutions.
- Political Savvy: Deep understanding of political systems, election processes, and power dynamics.
- Credibility: Recognized expertise and a reputation for excellence.
