The International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property invites passionate African youth heritage experts aged 18-35 to apply to be part of its growing roster of young leaders and changemakers.
The African Youth Heritage Expert Roster is an innovative initiative aimed at establishing a robust, inclusive database and interactive platform that connects young heritage experts across Africa with individuals, projects, and organizations seeking specialized knowledge in cultural heritage research, management, and promotion.

Eligibility Criteria
- They’re looking for dedicated young African professionals with expertise, skills, or strong interests in the following areas such as cultural project management, community engagement, climate change and risk management, World Heritage, cultural and creative industries, intangible heritage, archaeology, conservation, historic preservation, ethnography, museum studies, cultural entrepreneurship, cultural policy, digital heritage and archives, art history, and architecture.
Selection Criteria
- Applicants will be evaluated based on:
- Evidence of skills, experience, or knowledge in one or more of the focus areas
- Proven passion and dedication toward cultural heritage conservation and promotion.
- Experience or strong interest in working with communities, especially in heritage preservation efforts.
- Ability to work well in teams and collaborate effectively with various cultural heritage professionals and communities.
- Capacity to contribute fresh perspectives, innovative solutions, and leadership qualities to the heritage sector.
