For Women In Science Romania National Program 2024

The L’Oréal Romania For Women In Science Endowments program is managed in partnership with the Romanian National Commission for UNESCO.

This year, 5 awards worth 50,000 RON are offered to support outstanding doctoral and post-doctoral researchers, under 40 years old, in the areas of Life Sciences, Exact Sciences and Computer Sciences. The funds are intended to support the winners in their research work carried out in Romania.

Value Per Prize

• 2 grants of 50,000 RON each, offered to researchers in the areas of Life Sciences.
• 2 grants of 50,000 RON each, offered to researchers in the areas of Exact Sciences.
• 1 grant of 50,000 RON offered to a researcher in the area of Computer Science.

Criteria

• For PHD participants:
  • Must not be over 40 years of age by program start date: 03/08/2024
  • Be enrolled in a doctoral school, research institute or laboratory in Romania and carry out your research in Romanian territory, in one of the for participation in the program
  • Minimum second year of PhD
  • Must not have a criminal record and is not the subject of a criminal investigation
• For post-PhD participants:
  • Must not be over 40 years of age on the program start date: 24.05.2024
  • Have obtained the scientific title of “Doctor” in one of the scientific fields for participation in the program and be integrated into a post-academic preparatory program in a research and development institution certified by the Romanian Government.
  • OR has obtained the scientific title of “Doctor” in one of the scientific fields for participation in the program and is carrying out his research in Romanian territory, in one of the fields.
  • You must have started your post-doctoral research before the start date of the program’s call for applications, 08.03.2024
  • Must not have a criminal record or be the subject of a criminal investigation
• Candidates who have already obtained a scholarship during previous editions of the program are not automatically eligible to participate.

• Quality of the application
• Scientific excellence of the candidate in research matters
• Ability of the project to introduce important innovations in the respective domains
