Deadline: 10 January 2025
Are you ready to create, resist, and transform? Karne Kunst is thrilled to announce the 2025 Open Call for Micro-Experimental Art Projects, inviting feminist artists, collectives, and cultural workers to dream big within small-scale projects.
These are small yet impactful projects designed to push boundaries and challenge traditional formats. As migrant feminists, they’ve always found ways to create despite systemic barriers, censorship, and indifference. This is the chance to keep building connections, keep experimenting, and keep creating, no matter the restrictions.
These projects are experimental because the only limits they recognize are the ones they refuse to accept.
Objectives
- The projects should be:
- Collaborative: Designed to involve diverse participants, fostering shared creativity.
- Experimental: Open to innovation, trial, and discovery.
- Inclusive: Welcoming perspectives from various backgrounds and experiences.
- Documented and Open: Results shared under a Creative Commons (by-sa) license to encourage replication and reuse.
Benefits
- Access to creative spaces for planning, rehearsal, or exhibition for the project.
- A collaborative environment with diverse participants.
- A materials budget of €300 per project.
- Support from experienced advisors and promotion through the networks.
