The Department for Transport in partnership with Connected Places Catapult are inviting expressions of interest for the brand new Transport Research and Innovation Grants (TRIG) Advisory Board.
The Advisory Board will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the TRIG programme, by providing strategic guidance, sector insights and industry expertise.
Objectives
- The TRIG Advisory Board will serve as a strategic body to:
- Provide input to the TRIG challenge development.
- Review the progress of TRIG-funded projects and offers strategic direction to programme participants.
- Advise on next steps and potential commercial opportunities for TRIG-funded innovations.
- Promote inclusivity and regional representation within the programme.
Focus Areas
- They welcome applications from individuals with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Innovation and R&D
- Market Knowledge: Sector-specific expertise in maritime, rail, road, aviation, local transport, emerging technologies etc.
- Funding & Investment: Experience in venture capital, public funding, or scaling innovation
- Strategic Thinking & Programme Management
- EDI & Regional Development: Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in transport
- Stakeholder Engagement & Strong Networks.
Eligibility Criteria
- They are currently seeking up to 20 experienced professionals from across industry, academia, government, investment, and other organisations (NGOs, charities, DPOs etc.) who can provide thought leadership and contribute to the ongoing success of TRIG.
