The Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, proudly announces an insightful and thought-provoking essay competition on the theme Operation Sindoor – Redefining India’s Policy Against Terrorism.
This initiative invites young minds and passionate citizens to explore and express how Operation Sindoor signifies a bold and transformative step in India’s evolving counter-terrorism strategy. Participants will reflect on how the operation showcases India’s resilience, strategic depth, and the spirit of national unity against threats to peace and sovereignty.

Prize Information
- Top three short listed winners will be awarded prize money of Rs. 10,000/- each.
- Top 200 participants along with one companion (spouse/guardian/relative etc.) would be issued e-invitation to witness Independence Day Celebration to be held on 15th August, 2025 at Red Fort, Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria
- Participant must be a Citizen of India.
Application Requirements
- Word Limit: 500–600 words
- Language: Hindi or English
- Theme Focus: Redefining national security, the role of youth, unity in diversity, and India’s cultural and strategic solidarity.
