The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti in collaboration with MyGov is organizing a Comic Story Making Campaign for Swachhata under Swachh Bharat Mission that represents a transformative phase in India’s sanitation narrative, driven by a history enriched with ancient innovations and bolstered by contemporary governmental efforts.
Swachhata Comic Story would help to educate young and youth about diverse cultural, heritage and natural geographies of the country, propagate responsible sanitation and hygiene practices, appreciate the importance of Solid and Liquid waste management in daily life and would train young students and skilled professionals in this sector.
Theme
- The comic conversations must be related to the experiences and thoughts of the participants related to Swachh Bharat Mission activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Entry into the contest is open to all citizens of India.
- No offensive language or derogatory content will be allowed.
Application Requirements
- All submissions must be original and not infringe on existing copyrights or trademarks.

- The organizers shall not be responsible for entries that are lost, late, incomplete, or could not be submitted due to any issue/error, technical or otherwise, which is beyond the organizer’s reasonable control. Please note proof of submission of the entry is not proof of receipt of the same.
- Once submitted an entry cannot be withdrawn.
- The organizers reserve the right to disqualify and/or refuse/restrict the participation of anyone, if, in their reasonable assessment, such participation and/or association of any participant is detrimental to the contest and/or organizers and/or partners of the contest.
- The content must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, of 1957. Anyone found infringing on others’ copyright would be disqualified from the competition. The Government of India does not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the participants.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances, organizers reserve the right to amend or withdraw the campaign at any time. For the avoidance of doubt this includes the right to amend these terms and conditions.
- The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation and Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen will have the sole right/proprietorship for usage of the submitted content and reserve the right to use the submitted material in external communication and knowledge products.
- Participants will be required to provide their name, email address, telephone number, and additional details as required at the time of registration. By submitting their details and participating in the contest, participants give consent to Ministry of Jal Shakti to use this information as required.
- Registration shall be void if the information received by the organizers is illegible, incomplete, damaged, false, or erroneous.
- In case of any dispute or difference arises, the decision of the jury shall be final. Expenses incurred for this purpose will be borne by the participants themselves.
