Entries are now open for the EUCodeWeek: CODE4SPAIN Competition to foster creativity and the development of programming skills, encouraging participants to create innovative solutions to specific problems through the use of coding technologies.
Prize Information
- Total funding available €5,000,00
- Following deliberation by the evaluation committee and taking into account the assessment of the different phases of the initiative, one or two projects will be selected to receive a financial grant of 2,500 euros per project.
Eligibility Criteria
- The competition is open to individuals and legal entities (public or private organizations) domiciled and operating in Spain that promote initiatives (hackathons, innovation camps, immersive experiences, etc.) aimed at boosting the digital skills of young people.
Evaluation Criteria
- The jury will select the best proposals taking into account the following criteria:
- Innovation/methodology
- Experience
- Impact (number of students benefited)
- Recurrence (planned for future editions)
- Impact measurement: Digital inclusion
Selection Criteria
- The winning projects will be chosen by an evaluation committee composed of 3 experts of the private sector (technology company), public sector (INTEF) and educational sector.
- The evaluation committee will conduct the initial screening based on the quality of the required documentation, taking into account the following criteria:
- Participant profile:
- Natural or legal person.
- Have experience in coding or technology.
- Project:
- The project should be aimed at promoting digital skills in young people, especially girls, with the aim of promoting equitable and inclusive digital education.
- Include a detailed proposal that explains the problem to be solved, the technological solution, and the expected impact.
- The project must be innovative and creative.
