The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has launched the fifth edition of its innovation contest, ‘Dare to Dream 5.0’.
The Contest is being launched for promoting research in various fields of emerging technologies in order to promote Individuals, Startups and MSEs for the creation of innovation in defence and aerospace technologies in the country for realizing the vision of an ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.
Dare to Dream 5.0 is an idea-based open challenge to promote the Individuals, Startups and MSEs of the country and enable them to dream big without any limitations, putting their ideas into tangible results.

- The objective of Dare to Dream 5.0 is to provide the right platform to the nation’s innovators in order to unearth & realize their disruptive ideas and concepts in different disciplines of emerging technologies possessing military and dual-use identified by DRDO for enhancing defence capabilities.

Eligibility Criteria
- Indian Individuals: Should be Citizen of India above 18 years of age.
- Indian Start-ups: Start-ups controlled by Indians and recognized by DPIIT (formerly known as DIPP).
- Indian Micro & Small Enterprises: MSEs controlled by Indians and registered with Ministry of MSME and having latest UDYAM registration certificate.
