The Gallery Cosmos and Cosmos Atelier71, in association with the Honorary Consul of Ireland in Bangladesh and the Embassy of Ireland, New Delhi, are delighted to announce a unique cultural exchange opportunity for an Irish printmaking artist to participate in a short-term residency in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Aim
- This initiative aims to foster artistic collaboration and deepen cultural ties between Bangladesh and Ireland through the medium of printmaking.

Program Specifications
- As part of this exchange, the selected Irish artist will have the opportunity to engage in a workshop in Bangladesh with artists from across the country, sharing techniques, ideas, and creative perspectives. The residency will culminate in a public exhibition featuring a curated selection of the Irish artist’s own works alongside standout pieces created by workshop participants.
- An artist talk will also be organized, offering the Irish artist a platform to discuss their practice and engage with the local art community.
Eligibility Criteria
- They invite applications from Irish artists who:
- Have a strong background in printmaking (any technique or format)
- Are open to cultural exchange and collaborative creative processes
- Are able to bring a small selection of their works for exhibition
- Can commit to a 10–12 day residency in Dhaka
- At least 21 years of age.
Application Requirements
- A statement of interest (max 500 words), describing your artistic practice and motivation to participate
- Curriculum Vitae (max 2 pages)
- Portfolio of recent work (up to 5-7 images with captions)
- A brief workshop proposal (max 300 words), outlining what you plan to teach or share.
